    Default Colder Water

The water around here is getting colder now that Fall is here. I'm wondering where the crappies went. Shallower, deeper, middle or edges of the lake?
Where you go is less important than how you take the steps.

I look forward to colder water temps. in the fall- great fishing soon will follow- check to see what the bait fish are doing- probably moving to shallower water & the crappie will follow- find the baitfish and you'll find the crappie- good luck & have fun

During Fall the crappie can be located shallow or deep or suspended depending on the light and water conditions. They will soon be moving in to shallower drop offs and structure as the water keeps getting colder. Right now is a good time to troll some crank baits over flats close to drop offs and near points and creek channels if you can't find them around structure. That's the best info I can give.
