Default First I'd like to say....

Thanx to everyone for such a warm welcome. My question is, does anyone use the crappie Sliderheads(Charlie Brewer) and Slider Grubs? I have used them over the years and caught several slabs on them. I've never really been a live bait fisherman, though I have done it occasionally. With my bass fishing background I'm more of a "motion bait" fisherman.

During the spawn I enjoy using the sliders when they are on the banks. I cast them up to shore and reel it back in. After the spawn the sliders stay in the box till the next season.

I have tried them other times and seasons but prefer using other baits. I'm pretty sure I could catch fish on them at other times but just haven't put much time using them.

Love em, use em, slam em with em. They work great on road runners.
Good things come to those who bait.

I really like them for pre-spawn and spawn.

A fellow boarder here turned me onto them and I haven't stopped using them. I catch fish on them more than anything else in my tacklebox. i also use them on the "turbo" jigheads which are similar to C.Brewer's except I can get them locally instead of online which is the only way to get those jigheads here. I have stocked up on watermelon/cht, blk/cht, and caterpillar. I like the fact I can fish them weedless with those jigs and really get into tight places. I also like to use them on ballhead jigs. What's your most productive color and what color water you fishin in?
