Check out the pics, see if they don't look like tubes or twisters.

Good Information. I would suspect that young of the year crappie would feed on these. Heck I would think that even the older crappie go after these. It's like having Lobster for dinner. Shrimp and or Crayfish are all members of the same family or organism.

Light levels affects their movements and activitity levels.

I know one thing from fishing over 45 years. Early to bed early to rise fish like hell or make up lies. LOL The early bird get the worms. Get up an be fishing before the sun comes up and you will catch a lot more fish. Well this is very true for bass fishing. Sometimes I catch a lot of fish in the middle of the afternoon say around 2 o'clock. But I catch more bass in the early morning before the sun gets up too high and at dusk when the sun is setting or very low in the sky. Bass seem to come into the very shallow waters at these time to feed. Anyone that has been fishing very long knows that the changing light levels triggers the fish to start feeding. I suspect that when the cloud cover increase the fish will go on the feed also, just like they do when the sun sets every night.

Good point Moose. I have always tried to tell people that is the main reason I catch so much fish. You have to get there early and be there more often, You cant catch fish at home, unless your dreaming, playing a game or fishing in your pond LOL.
