    Hard to say. Whether I am vertical jigging, spiderrigging, or just looking for a spot to fish, I am checking my electronics. I fish 100+ days a year, average 8 hours per trip, multiply that by say, five years since I bought my first unit, and I guess thats around 4000 hours? Wow, I guess I should have done the math before I clicked the 1-250hrs button!!

    Can't you check it somewhere in the system info on the unit?? I never have looked, but I thought it kept a log of hours in the memory somewhere.

    Eagle 480, used at least once a week, some times twice a week,all year, 6 to 9 hours a day for 0ver 10 years.
    let see..... 50 (weeks) X 6 (hours) X 10 years= 3000 hours

    1575hrs on my 788 and still going strong. Have had system just under 4 years, so am averaging 400hrs of fishing time a year. You can access hrs. on same menu item where you read software version. It's handy to know if buying a used unit or if needing an excuse to replace with a newer upgrade!
