    Default Needing new spinning reels

Need some opinions on some good spinning reels for trolling. Bought a new set of poles for spider rigging and guess I'll get me some new reels to go with them. Anyone have some good opinions?

I just picked up a Pflueger President 6925, only used it once so far but I really like it. Very smooth and fairly light weight. Though Im using it for casting jigs and floats on an ultralight rod, not spider rigging.

Just started using the Pflueger President in size 20. Great little reel. I also have a Shimano Symetre, but that's a bit more costly. You never did say how much your budget is?

You can go on the cheap & get some Shimano IX, AX, or FX reels in the 1000 models. They sell for between $12 & $20 apiece.

This exactly! I have 10 of the IX2000 that are probably 7 years old and well abused but keep on keeping on.

X2 on the Trion. Have two of them on my 10ft B-n-M Westpoint rods....been using them about a year and really like them. Really smooth working reel and only run about $25. I have the smaller 20 series but some folks like the next one up in the 30 series.

I use and sell the Shimano IX reels. Like the 2000 best, more line capacity, same size. Most imortant feature is the rear drag that allows ease of loosening when in a rod holder upon hang up.
