    Default Stockton 9/27/14

Put in around 8 am.Fished brush anywhere from 3 ft to 12 ft.of water (sac river).1/8 oz.jig, any color as long as it had a nibble on it.Used a half jar of nibbles.Caught so many shorts i lost count.Did manage 11 good ones and lost some big ones right on top of the water trying to swing into the boat.Ray had about the same luck but most all of his were short.Quit around 1 o'clock.MY rear was draggin and i was very tired.May try again next weekend if the treatments don't get to me.Daydreamer be sure and look for the root beer bottle tied in the tree on the right side if u go.Tried to paint a x on the water but it didn't work.(lol)Name: 0927153437_04.jpg

Nice fish, losing a few at the boat insures that there will be fish the next time you go ( makes you feel better about it if you think this)

Didn't work out for me on Stockton Saturday. I put in at State Part and worked that puppy from Cedar to the dam on brush piles 12 - 25 ft.
Didn't boat a crappie up there using minnows.
They were on the graph, just no good hits.
    Maybe shoulda switched to jigs.

Great job Bud. Jigs didn't do much better for us kit, was fishing the same water as you. I fished for 2 hours Friday evening and caught 8 and had 6 keepers. Saturday Allen and I fished all day and had 9 keepers. Sunday we quit around 4:30 and had 14 keepers. We tried shallow brush, mid depth brush, but almost all of our better fish came from 30 to 35 feet down in the bottom third of the brush. Extremely lite bites, most you wouldn't even feel, you had to really watch your rod tip because they would barely pull down on it. Best color by far was a 1.5" stinger in salt and pepper with glow chart tail with a nibble.
