Default Economical wat to get ready for spider rigging/slow trolling

Slow trolling for crappie is around the corner. At least for us in Texas. This is a good way to try trolling without drilling holes in your boat to mount rod holders. I have Bee Ready's and love them, but I was anxious about mounting them without knowing if I'd like trolling for crappie or not. Needless to say, I do!

Here's the video posted below and the photos of today's project. This was made from scraps around the house. The bucket was $3. You can buy these blue buckets at Lowes for $2.79. Add 3 gallons of water and the bucket weighs about 25 lbs. Keet it between your leggs while slow trolling and you also have a place to keep your minnows. You can buy and bubbler for $10 or less to keep your minnows alive and just attach it to the back of this bucket.

Here's my most recent one using scraps around the house:

Truth be known, a 500 doll troll rig didn't improve my catching.

You may want to contact a rod holder company on that one. They might be interested in buying the idea.

I think it is great for pushing jigs but.... I also think it would be great for a bank or pier fisherman as well!
