    Default Crappie Lures

Crappie lures catches variety of fish. Lately I been using roadrunners and the bass loves it. Only problem I not trying to catch bass. Had a huge bass on my line this morning, as I was reeling in somehow it got away. I don't think roadrunners hooks are sharp enough for certain fish. It would've been nice to capture a photo with that bass. I saw the bass, so I was very disappointed I couldn't reel him in. Lol

Don't know what brand hooks Blakemore uses in their jigs.

Well this hook is different! It's more sharper for some odd reason.

Not much gap there. Try tuning when you tie on. I tune every hook I use.

So that could be the reason I lose fish?

I agree a larger hook would serve you better. Also might want to try the Pro edition Road runners they have Gamakatsu hooks. Roadrunners are an all species bait, but originally developed for bass.

You also might look for jig makers on this site to make some with Sickle hooks. Litewire hooker has the mold and sickle hooks.

I've successfully used them with the hook just like that. Make sure you separate the skirt before using it. I've caught some nice bass with them, while hunting crappie.

Maybe my line is just too weak. It happened again today. Huge bass, line snapped on me with the roadrunner still in the bass mouth. Ugh
