Default No spring in new Ram mounts

I ordered two Ram D-111s from BBG, one had the spring and other didn't. Thought maybe they just forgot it. Notified Brian and he called Ram in Seattle, they said engineers determined no springs are needed in the size C or D mounts anymore. I called them too but they wouldn't send me a spring either. These mounts are expensive but without the spring they feel cheap.
