Built 6 condo units and need advice. I want to place them within reach of my dock. Hoping to attract any species especially winter & spring crappie. Water is 10-12' and if I place them barely touching they will cover a 12'x12' area. They are made from a variety of scap material, PVC sheet strip, lawn edging, and black plastic pipe. My question is do I put them all in one wad or a couple here and a couple more a few feet away? Here's a pic if a few if them

I would put 2 together in 3 different areas of the dock.

Yep ... directly out in front and one on each front corner at a 45deg angle from the corners, and ALL of them within casting distance of the front edge/corners of the dock.

    ... cp

I agree with Mrdux and would toss in a dead cedar for a minnow hideout.

Good looking structure. Will look like it grew naturally once it gets mossed up.

    Iron wood is the better.

cool looking piles! i have read about sanding the smooth plastics, so stuff grows better on it. i also agree with the three piles idea, in your situation.
