Default Slab Bite Slower But Stiill Some Takers/Pics

My spot slowed down today both in numbers and size. We landed 49 with most between 10-15. Some nice ones were landed but not the numbers I had been getting. Water temp still 75. Another nice White Perch landed. All but 8 white perch were released.

Another bunch of nice fish. Couple of them starting to look like me in the middle. Bee, how do those white perch taste compared to crappie?

They are much firmer. They do have a layer of fat that can make them a little fishy tasting if not removed. They make a real good chowda fish. I like to smoke them first then put them in the pot.

I wish my spots could slow down where I could only catch 49 of that size. Beautiful crappie, curious, were these fish caught up north around grass?
