I have fished crescent twice already and it's a Great Lake. I think it depends on the time of the year, but in the early spring we long lined and did ok. I picked up my biggest fish ever there, for me, a 2.5 pounder.

Although its my biggest to date, Its only a measly 2.5 pounder. I'm sure you've caught many three pounders "G", especially in the waters you frequent.

And actually, a 2.5 pounder out of Crescent ain't really super huge. I just thought it was good enough and pretty enough a fish for my wall. It's the first fish I've had mounted. Those blacks out of the Florida waters down there are georgious. That picture actually does not do it justice.

I would like to spend a warm winter day on a couple of those FL. lakes. I saw some good post last winter.

Come on down to the Florida board and there is plenty that can answer anything ya want to know about Crescent. And things are heating up real fast on the water and the fishing will be on fire directly.
