I use to have a can of spray that come with a pair of browning boots but I can remember the name. If you do a google search on "waterproofing boots" you will get a lot of hits and hopefully find something you can use.

Yes buy some Sno-Seal and it's great to put on new boots and shoes. Put all over and especially around the sole where the thread is.

Here is a couple of links and I am sure you can find others. Maybe even Academy or something, but I didn't find it at Cabela's of BPS.

I second the sno-seal. I use the spray version on lots of stuff. Gloves, boots, tents, jackets. It has UV blocker in it also.
Wally world has it for $4 a can I think. Use liberrally and often.

I third the sno-seal depending on what kind of material they are. If they are gore-tex and you use the sno-seal wax they wont be as breathable and the sno-seal changes the color of the boot. Its kinda tough to make a pair of boots that start to leak really dependably waterproof again.

The sprays are typically a water repellents and will not make you boots immersible in water but will shed water. The wax is probably your best bet to make the boots totally waterproof again unless one of their newer products is more advanced. Their site is very informative. I suggest doing some reading there before choosing a product.

What do you use on your expensive raingear after you wash it?

    Default Sno seal

clean boots, heat with hair dryer, rub thin layer of sno seal and watch it soak in the leather, keep applying and heating until it will not soak in anymore when you heat it with the dryer, let cool wipe off excess. Works great but will darken leather. reapply as needed

Maker sure boots are completely dry before you waterproof. I will 4th or 5th or 6th ( lost count) the snow seal, been using it for years.
