And I can’t make a crappie report I thought I would say while fishing for another species last night I seen some gents pulling them in left and right from the handicap docks. Looked like a lot of small ones but they were fish. Goes along with Burton reporting shallow brush piles are paying off.

Must be these crazy weather patterns this year screwing up the crappie, but since don't have a boat for the lake this year at least I'm not missing anything. Might get the old 12'v-bottom with 30# bored 4# over trolling motor ( that's right 34# neck breaking torque action) and hit the river, sometimes I luck into them.

We been pounding them for three weeks now. Dipping trees with minner tipped jigs two cranks from the bottom in 16' of water.

I went up with the kiddo last Saturday. Fished from 11a til 2p off the Little Platte Marina docks. Fought through 6 or 7 little ones to find a couple 3 eaters. Black and Charty w/ twister tail worked for me.
