Well heck sure is hard to stop a guy when he is having so much fun eh.
measure em conned me into fishn away we go. Sat on boat ramp till 730 am rain lightened up enough to fish lightning quit so off we head got alittle wet but oh well. Then he started in on me Gar class 601 I do not know how many he brought to the boat but it was alot. One had to be over 5ft. long jumped out of the water like a sailfish. He was pleased after 5 crappie went into my bucket I asked him if he was going to fish for crappie said no way he was having way to much fun with Gar, 10in shad, and one or two bass. Do not know what to do with him but had a good day anyways. Ended up with 5 crappie and 20-30 cut of lines. As we were pulling out I said to him what is that green thing floating on the water? It was one of his floating jig heads.

I think you need to get a GoPro camera for that action. Congrats on the five crappie.

Crappie were slow and what there was, was being caught at the front of the boat. Since I am becoming known for catching non-targeted species, I figured I should keep my reputation in check. I had a blast. The rain, the heat, good peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and watching your best friend catching what he likes. I thought go for it, and them there gar and a few other non-targeted species came for it. Had a very good time and any day in the boat is good day.

You fellas should cut the tenderloins out of those bigger gar. Its some really good eating. Just like cutting the backstraps out of a deer.
There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.long poler, south point LIKED above post
That's one I haven't heard about.
