Default Great morning on the water

Fished down from Bucksaw this morning. Caught fish in 3ft to 15ft of water. Noticed we had more bites pitching past a stump letting it fall back to it. Brought home 31 nice fish. Started out fishing trees on a point until the crowds came then headed to the back of a big cove and found some bigger ones. It was good seeing and visiting with Tommy, Gary and Sue, Jeff and Larry. Hope you all had a good day.

Darren, it just wasn't our day but I'm glad you, Wyatt, and the Wife did well. My buddy fishes different than most LOL, and the start battery dying cut our day short, at least we caught enough for him and his wife for supper!

A little follow up from this morning. Darrin and co. Had it going on to say the least. We tried another flat with to luck then came back where they were but lost the bite early afternoon. Ran back up above Bucksaw by the bridge and found some larger fish to go along with what we had. The water color was a lot more stained around the bridge and we think that helped. Kept 16 over 10 inches all on jigs. 1/8 oz orange head dark body and char tail. First time fishing with Larry and had a great time.

A bluff is where the water ends and the earth rises out of the water sharply and usually quite a ways. In the above picture you can see the rock bluff behind Wyatt and his Dad.

A cove is an irregularity in the shoreline like where a creek or valley attaches to the body of water.

Congrats on the nice fish. I had to go to a wedding at Jeff City so rub it in.
