    Default cmc jackplate with tilt/trim

Thinking about putting one on my 1542 war eagle . it has a 25 Yamaha 4-stroke . Have been told the weight of the four stroke is too much for the smaller jack plate / trim unit . think its called pt 35 .Any of you have this set up ? thoughts ?

I have a pt35 with a suzuki 15 with elec start bolted to it. No problems since 2009 when I got it. Check the full load capability at CMC/ TH Marine.

Lots of it probably has to do with mount holes.

I believe the hydraulic pump is the same for both pt 35 and pt 130. Almost positive it is.

Sent them an email Friday but haven't heard back yet . Was told by a mechanic (dealership) to go larger . Sure seems like a big unit for a small boat .They will set me straight Monday most likely .

Don't know if this is comparing Apples and Oranges or not. I have a unit that used to be sold by Minnkota that's about the same size and rated for 35hp. It's on my old boat with a E model 40 Marineer which is a 2 cyl Yammaha. Got to be as heavy as your motor and never had any trouble with it.

I ran a 35HP 2 stoke on the small CMC for 15 years with no problem. My buddy has a 40HP stroke Yammy on his and no problems. It is rated for up to either 35 or 40 HP by CMC.
