Default New boat need new toys

I'm getting a new boat and I think I want individual rod holders for spider rigging. I am looking at Crappie Stalkers by Drift Master or Capps and Coleman by Tite Lok. Any and all opinions are appreciated and welcome. Thanks Bo

I would get in the boat with someone and fish with both of those holders, folks either love or hate em. If you do anything besides spider rig you will have to have another kinda holder for longlining or cranking.
Out of those 2 you mention I prefer the Caps but I too run SpyderLoks and don't want for anything else. Good luck and congrats on the new rig.

I've fished in boats where several different holders were used including the Spyderloks. I prefer the HiTeks for my use.

Look at the driftmasters, very versatile and strong as *&^%.

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

Spyderlocks are second to none. I'm a planner board guy and I fished one day with the hi=techs with a friend and when side pulling the rods would jump out of the holders. First time I've ever disagreed with MrDux. And next time I get jimp in the boat I will have him changing his post.

I call BS. How in the world is a rod going to "jump" out of a holder when it's being pulled straight away from you,

been using hi-teks for 8 years....never had a rod pull out even when longlining straight out the back of the boat. The spider-locks are good holders though
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

Hi-Teks to put 19 rods out of my boat kinda says it all for me.
