Default Crappie Mount Photos - 3rd Place 2014 Crappie Masters MS State Championship

Thought I'd share some pics I took last night while at my taxidermist's shop. He's mounting our 3rd place stringer from Mississippi State Championship on Grenada back in March. More pics to follow!!

    now I see why when I wanted to mount my 1 & only 3 lb'r I couldn't afford it !
My wife swears I only do enough surveying to support my hunting & fishing because I'm too busy hunting & fishing !

I had always had a slight interest in the way mounts were done. Enjoyed the pics.

I've mounted a lot of crappies in my lifetime and from the pics I can tell you that skinning one that clean is a real challenge. Your taxidermist knows his craft. I'll look forward to more pics, especially the finished piece.

It took 6 trips to his shop and many photo texts but I got them home. 17 month project! We had differing opinions of the paint color scheme, but we came to a compromise. I wanted the solid white fresh out of Grenada's cold water look, and he was pushing for his normal green/yellow tint. I'm super happy with finished product. They are truly a work of art. Hope everyone enjoys the photos.
