    Default Nice surprise today!!

Brother in law stopped by this morning and his wife and a friend of ours were loading a bunch of stuff to take up to Goodwill and the BIL asked her if this was going to, and she said yes and he said Doug could really use that!!!

It's a Flambeau BAZUKA Hard Rod Case!!!! My rods over the winter get stored in rod tubes from Bass Pro that they ship rods in but I'll have my sister in law make some nice fleece covers and keep them separated in the tube.

    Love free stuff!!!

I used to have one of those -- great for transporting rods.

I got some interesting looks walking through the airport with a 7-foot black tube with "Bazuka" stamped on it.

Congrats on the find! When I travel with my expensive rods, I either strap them down in the boat with my rod savers or use an 8' section of 6" black corrugated tile. Duct tape the ends and voila, instant safe rod holder with plenty of room for at least half a dozen rods without bending any guides. You can pick up a piece of tile from your local farm and home store for less than $15.

I usually transport my reels in a small duffel with the handles loosened to prevent any potential bending or other damage.
