When I bought mine I purchased a extra power cable so that I could practice on with the unit in the simulation mode. I would have a computer set up beside the HB unit and would watch youtube instructional videos as I went. It basically turns into repetition to learn all the ins and outs. HB are easier for most that Lowrance.

When you get the unit...come on over to the electronics forum and share your experiences and questions...

I'm enjoying mine. I swapped my transducer for one that fits the trolling motor. It has the bracket and all. Contact HB about swapping it out without being charged. Just don't take the transducer out of its packaging if you plan on doing so. It has excellent graphics for the money paid.

Doug Vahrenberg on YouTube gives you in depth instructions on how to get the most out of your HB unit. It's a big help! I see things now that I would've never found if it weren't for his videos!
Fishing is like pizza.......Even when it's not that good, it's still pretty good!
