Default Lakes you fish, distanced traveled....

If this is a repost, please delete or lock.

We are obviously a melting pot of hard core fisherman here. With that thought in mind, please share your lakes and/or waters that you fish, size of lake, distance traveled and short description of water. This might give others an idea as to what everyone works with.

    regards,

Lakes in southeast and eastern Kansas

Fall River - 2600 acres - 100 miles round trip average depth 8-10 excluding the river in the lake best producer in area...when they school up in the winter you can consistantly catch 1 and 2 lb fish...good in spring also, limit of 50

Toronto - 2200 acres - 80 miles round trip average depth 8-10 excluding river in lake (quality like Fall River, frequency of limiting out with large catches aren't as great), limit 50

Melvern - 7500 acres - 120 miles round trip average depth 20 - 30 (some depths go to 50 and 60) quantity is plentiful, don't have the consistant large size that Fall River has...lots of pressure, limit of 20 over 10 inches

    lake of choice....Fall River

    Lake Russell - 26,650 acres

    Lake Greenwood - 11,400 acres

    Lake Keowee - 18,500 acres

All three of these lake are about an hour away from where I live here in SC. I'm not sure of average depth, but Keowee and Russell are pretty deep. Some places over 100 ft. and Greenwood fairly deep.

I favorite lake is Lake Russell. Not that's is the best lake in SC for fishing, I just like it! It is a good lake for crappie though.

Lake Russell. Round trip maybe 20 minutes. :D Havent fished others in a few years but maybe 30 minutes from Hartwell and Clarkes Hill lakes. They're large impoundments too (bigger than Russell).

Yep.. yep... gotta remember that my Sunday school teacher might read this.

    Okay..

I fish Jordan Lake near Raleigh in NC. About 30 minutes away.
Or, I go to Shearron Harris right down the road, about 45 minutes away.

Then there are a few little ponds around the house if I don't have much time to play.
