    Default Pushing Arkie Crankbaits Question

I have received my Arkie Crankbaits. What type of sinkers are you using? I have been making egg sinkers and running wire through them and barrel swivels on either side. Are you tying them to the line or using swivels? My most consistent lure has been a strike king 3. Still haven't had any luck around eagle creek. Next week i will move to the new johnsonville steam plant and birdsong area. I may have to run down to mouse tail as i know that area and think i might know some good areas there. I have caught three bass this year with lampreys on them. Is this normal. Thanks for the help.

We use 3 oz weights that we get from ScottV, don't think it really matters just need something that wont hang up. Running the Arkie about 3 foot behind the weight.

I use the same method only put a snap swivel on the sinker. Then make a 3ft. leader with a barrel swivel on one end and a duo lock snap on the other. I snap the weight on the barrel swivel.

I run my plugs (not arkie) about 7 ft behind the weight (using 12 ft rods). I think I get more hookups with longer leader, but have not verified.

Let me know how it turns out. I was thinking about shortening mine (since several recommended 3 ft).
