CP you might want to check out the 7ft rhino rods for pullin cranks they work pretty good and are easy to handle.
Grand son is getting married tomorrow, so Brenda and I have reserved a motel room near BPS in Memphis. We headed to Memphis shortly. I received my Lowrance rebate in the form of debit cards and I only have 6 weeks to use them. I can't get cash for them thru ATM either. Does BPS have any good crank type trolling poles if there is such a thing? Ima looking. I can't handle anything over 12 ft.

That trolling pole Bass Pro has its name on seems to be a good pole. Its yellow, think it took the place of the lews rods or sumpin.

Might want to look at the Ugly Stick Pro Lite as well for a CB rod, just another suggestion.

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

Bass Pro Crappiemax Rods come in The 12 Ft. you mentioned, I Use them For Pulling Cranks And They Work Well For Me.
I'm going to second MrJim on them Rhino rods. About the same thing as ugly stick and a whole lot cheaper. Get you some of them then spend the rest on crank baits.
I'm with Cray, spend $ on cranks. I use 8', 10' and 12' BGJP. Soft enough to set the hook for you and not tear it loose. The 12" west point crappie pole (BnM) will let you push em out front for cheap. The Crappie maxx come in different actions that may be just what you look for. If you troll out the back most any medium action pole in different length will do. I run 6 rods with good separation and few tangles. Have fun Tom. The outdoor series reels at wally for $15 each would do for a good trolling reel so don't spend bigger bucks for those.
