    Default Reverse night stalking

There’s a bar on the lake that blast karaoke all night. I can’t stand listening to that. Instead of fishing dusk until midnight, my idea is to fish from 4am with a light until dawn. Has anyone caught anything this early?

I do that alot when I can't sleep. I go to a dock that has lights on it and do real will. It's nice because the lights have been on all night. Caught some really good fish

    I have and it works.
Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish, he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

Fish will feed better at different time and if you start watching the moon it will give you the best nights for fishing before sun up. I use to bass fish at night a lot (for a 10 year spell back in the 70's) and we would most always hit a good feed at some point. Sometimes it would be an hour after dark and other time it would be midnight as well as an hour before sun up.

Remember, I think you need to be set up and have at least an hour or two before they bite good. It may be faster at times, but they will be attracted to your light and the bait fish you draw so you need time for all this to happen IMHO.

When we night fish going out at or near dark to set up many times not much happens for an hour or even two. Many time the best action is near midnight.

Fast answer, yes they will bite early morning before sun up!

I've had good mornings when I made a 5 oclock trip to the pond. No one there but me and the herons. I've night fished about 50 yds from a blue heron a lot. I guess you'd say he's my "partner". See him in the mornings, too. We haven't talked shop but it's awesome to see him fly in at night and see the ambient light illuminate him on the water. enjoy the time out. It's very calming.

Them birds are a good sign when fishing as they are the best fishermen on the lake!
