    Default 3 # crappie mount

I just received a photo from my taxidermist of the first fish of mine that he finished.
The colors are darker and appear to be kind of black or gray in the photo.
The true colors are varies shades of green and blue, more like the fishes natural color.
Plmk what you think of the mount.

    Regards,

    Daniel

Very nice work on the fish. The base is a little basic though. How much does he charge?

Very nice mount. Can't wait to get one of those hogs on my wall.

Hard to tell the color looking on line at the pic, but looks very nice!

I think your fish looks good. Very nice. I agree, however, that the little piece of driftwood he mounted it to is too basic. Maybe not too "basic", but just too small for that fish. Somehow, it doesn't match or enhance the fish. Perhaps he could just take the driftwood off and let the fish stand alone. Great looking fish!

Since I have to have them shipped from Wisconsin, and to keep it practical, I need the small base.
Each fish will need a container the size of a 54 quart cooler to be shipped in.
I figure I could always put them on a larger base if I decide to.

Looks really nice to me! I wish I'd had such good results with the one
I had mounted... first fish I ever had "stuffed", and it is HORRIBLE.
For starters, the taxidermist was building a new building, and my fish sat in the freezer for nearly a year while he worked on that instead
    of my fish

Wow, great looking mount. I have a 2lb.12oz. black crappie in the freezer now and I'm hopng to get another big'un this winter to go with it so I can have a double mount. If I'm lucky the next one will be a white crappie. That would be an awesome mount. Hope mine turns out as nice as yours.
