Default Suggestions for Spider Rig on Sea Nymph Sidewinder 175

Okay ,I have searched and looked at a couple of threads and posts but I would love to read what others suggest.

I want to go ahead and install a spider-rig on my 1988 Sea Nymph Sidewinder 175 but haven't a clue as to what kind would work best or what's the best price for one!

In Illinois we are limited to three poles per person and most times I sit alone and fish. There is but one seat up front and I do not envision building a second or installing a seat for two.

What would you all recommend for my particular boat?

I see that Mr. Crappie and Driftmaster are sponsors but have also read about Hi Tek Extreme. So please let me know what you think, suggest or question.

    Thanks in advance!

Sounds like you need to to go with a Hi-Tek (also a sponsor) 3 rod Extreme with 18" riser. I would get an extra base or two so you could position the holders for spider rigging out the front or pulling from the side if you decided too. I am a little bias though and there will be suggestions from others.

Location and mounting are certainly an issue. It is very crowded up front with little room for the foot pedal even.

There is a compartment door right in front of seat where I keep an extra battery and on the bow you can see the trolling motor and the plate where the fishfinder goes - I upgraded to a Lowrance Elite 5HDI and now think I ought to mount it differently. In fact, I might redo that setup all together....

I agree on the extra bases. Personally I can see placing one rod on each side and one straight out of the back. This would help with seperation for trolling with crankbaits. Just my
