Well as I impatiently watched the tracking numbers for my 14 ft rods I decided to hit the lake and try tight lining this evening. I only used (2) 10 ft rods so i didn't expect much in return. I ended up catching two fish at the same time on separate poles, as well as two fish166272166273 on the same pole! It was a busy, hectic and a fun mess lol. I did manage a nice fat 14". Doesn't look like much in the pic,166271 but the wife took it from the back of the boat. All in all I wanted to thank everyone who helped answer questions for me in regards to this technique. I'm hooked now!

Good deal. You did a good job for a first trip. Now you'll start fooling with the rigs and adding different jigs instead of minnows and so on. The wife will be chasing you out of the front all soon enough.

CHAOS...is when you have 6 poles with fish at the same time...

Or a 5lb channel cat that wraps up the entire 10 pole spread...

:yikes

I love CHAOS...!!

Lol two on at the same time while staying on the ledge and dodging the weeds was enough for the first go.

Nice catch and a lot of fun! I spider rig by myself with 8 to 10 poles and when they all get busy about the same time is when the fun begins lol. Nice rod holders. Don't remember seeing them before. What brand are them?

Those are "Bee-Ready" rod holders from Pro angler tackle. never used any other style but after the first trip out I'm extremely happy with them so I ordered more last night. I'm only going to be running three at a time since that's all we are allowed here in Illinois. 8-10 rods solo sounds like I'd just lose my cool lol, that is impressive though!

You are allowed three unless otherwise notified. everyone always thinks it's two but it's not when trolling

I am on the Iowa line near the "quad cities". basically where interstate 80 and 74 meet
