    Default Yamaha pricing

Anyone have an idea what average markup is on Yamaha outboards? I was quoted $7,500 including tiller handle kit, mounting hardware, and stainless steel prop on a 50hp, 4 Stroke. That's before any shipping, prep, etc. YAM-F50LA Thanks!

I don't but it explains why I put a 1995 55HP Yammy on my Tracker last year. $1500 installed including the control cables, box and new tach. Figured I could buy 3 or4 before I spent as much as a new one costs. So far this one has run like a dream.
I am not knocking buying a new one. I just don't think they should cost as much as they do.

I saw the Mercury 50hp 4 stroke tiller for $5700, don't know why Yamaha would be that much higher.

I had a 03' 115hp four stroke Suzuki. Paid $1000.00 for the boat, motor, and trailer. The motor ran like a top from the day I got it to the day I sold it. I don't understand why they want so much for the motors either. Looks like they would want more people to buy their products. My pockets can stand overpriced equipment.
