Default What poles to buy for pushing crankbaits?

Just getting started in crappie fishing been bass fishing for 40 plus years. Get a 1860 G3 boat 2 new 899 birds
and Hi-Tek rod holders an ready to go pushing. I have read everthing on this great site about pushing but no one
ever talks about what poles they use. So how long, how stiff and what brand?

    Thanks Jack

I use my regular crappie poles(mostly B&M) that I've broken the tips off of over the years and not replaced. I put new tip guides on them. A 10 footer may be 9 feet now but the action is stiff like I want it. My normal down rods that I use to "push" are 7 foot medium action bass rods that I used to use for catfish.
