Thanks in advance guys. I've always fished for them in the Spring, but want to try doing it successfully in the summer. Can you direct me to any educational info, either threads on here or links on the net or books that would brush me up before I tear off in a cloud of dust?

USAF Retired and fishing!
Oooo, that looks pretty helpful!
If you can find it, Slab crappie secrets, from the in-fisherman handbook of strategies series. This book is worth it's weight in gold to me. I've learned so much from reading this book. I still go back and read or re-read parts that i feel i need to brush up on. Good luck finding it. I've had mine since 1983.
Its on ebay. The seller also has other game fish books in the same series.
This is a long read but if crankin is an option where you fesh its a good en.

If you can get your hands on them crappie world used to be great. I have 100 old magazines or better I have kept with highlighted key strategies stuck back for reference
Thanks guys. I love a good read on the crapper. Crappie World, eh? 100 editions? Trade you March 1969 - present National Geographic? I keep the maps...
I'd rather not. Some good info in those magazines
