Default How often do you get skunked??

Just wondering how often people get skunked? Ive only been able to pull 2 good crappie out of the lake closest to me. I know theyre there but cant get them to bite. Theyre very tight lipped. I use minnows under a slip bobber most of the time. When I go to the reservoir an hour away I usually do pretty good..

Getting a crappie fisherman to admit that he gets skunked is like pulling teeth from a duck!

I'll admit I get skunked a lot when I go fishing. But, in my defense, I don't get to go often enough to know what they are hitting on at the time. At least that's my story and I'm sticken to it!

I honestly can only remember one time in the last couple of years and that was when conditions should have kept me off the water. Not catching enough to make it worth my while is another thing.

Nice thing about being 8 miles from the ramp I use on KY lake is when they are not in the mood, I don't feel obligated to spend a lot of time out there. If I had to drive for hours to get there, I would feel I needed to spend more time and put in more effort.

I have fished the same lake since around 1983 or 1984, which makes everything
a plus. I can't remember ever getting completely skunked. I, however do not fish
in the winter. Always long line trolling.

The only time that I think that I got skunked is when I don't go fishing.
I don't go fishing to put "meat" on the table. I go for the peace and quiet and or the fellowship with friends.

I was not aware that there was such a thing as being "skunked" I just thought that I was putting back the culls without handling them are causing trama to them.

I ALWAYS catch something when I go out. If the crappie aren't biting my jigs then the bass or catfish always do. Caught many fish with the ever popular jig.
I am being honest. I have never been skunked yet. I will stay out on the water until I catch anything! I refuse to be beat!

Twice in the last six years. Neither time, were days suitable for fishing. Several days of three to six.
    Tell'em I'll be there.
