Been awhile - Don't see why it won't work, I tried them on Lake Alice in Western NY but used a junebug blade instead. Let us know how you do on them.
So among species of fish that I like to catch and release into lake Crisco, Crappie are my favorite, followed, in order of preference) by: Yellow Perch, Walleye, Catfish.
I recently fished in the one tournament I fish, a wallwye tourney that happens each June, and I tied up a mess of crawler harnesses with dixie spinners. Since that tourney is one of the only times I target walleye each year, It seems a shame to not try for something else with them.
Has anybody ever used them for crappie? I know minnows are their primary forage, but I've caught them on worms before while fishing for gills.
I'm hoping to get on the water for a few hours this weekend and will be giving it a try. Maybe will clip the second hook off and try either pieces of worm or gulp minnows.
Thoughts?
I'll let y'all know how it goes next week.

Sounds like a plan - Can't wait to see how it pans out.
Wishing you Blue Skies and Tight Lines
Well, gave it a try - one bluegill and lots of worms stripped from hooks (no walleye in the lake I was fishing).
Not gonna try that again for crappie.
