Talking Bank fishing minnow bucket for just pennies idea photo

I was looking for an insulated minnow bucket I could use while bank fishing that would keep my minnows a long time. I searched the uuuuuuusual places like Wal-Mart, Bait Shops and Bass Pro shops and decided I could just make me one as good as or better that what they offered and I would make it for under $5.00. I searched the local thrift stores and found a 9 quart insulated igloo container for beer etc and it was 80% off. It was brand new but they only wanted under two dollars for it. I went back to Wal-Mart and got a hasp lock for ubder $1.50.

I already had the drill so I cam home and made this bank fishing minnow bucket. You could use a key ring hook clasp through the hasp lock. Here are photos. What do you think? Make one for yourself and keep your minnows longer.

OK I am a little dense on this. I understand insulated minnow bucket. Why the holes? It takes away from the insulating properties and its not like it will sink if you toss it in the water. The surface area of the water inside isnt large enough to promote gas exchange for more than a few minnows. A cooler like that is a great idea just confused about the purpose of the holes.

Air circulation on land. When i submerse it i put a brick in it to sink it. Multi purpose cooler.
