In the last 2 weeks I have caught over 170 crappie spider rigging in ALA. I do it year round. I use the 2 hook crappie rigs with the egg sinker in the middle, aka Capps&Coleman rigs. Summer time you have to find the channel ledges with cover and fish along there. Sometimes they are on top of the ledge and sometimes they are off on the deep side. Good luck and let us know how it works out for you.

I catch fish all summer long up into late fall when they move to deep brush or ledges, spider rigging standing timber 8' to 15'.

Get you a sunbrella umbrella. A necessity for hot summer rigging.
