    Default Maple Leaf

Must have been a bad day for the crappie. I caught one small one and two nice bass in 5 hours. I guess the reports about the "Leaf" are correct. Not good this year. I did not even see the bass fisherman catching fish on rogues and jigs.

    Fry,

Maple leaf is a small 140 acre lake. Reports this year from MDC is that the crappie are scarce and rarely any over 9".

I could make up a wives tale though.

Fry i had heard that maple leaf was over crowded with crappie and stunted.I also have an ex boss who bass fishes it regular and has cuaght some very large bass outta it this year.It always looked like a fun lake to ice fish on if it would just freeze thick.
