    Default Question about longlining cranks?

What crankbaits do you prefer for pulling, and what colors seem to work best? Have never done it but am considering trying it on a few of the reservoirs here. Also what brands and so forth do you recommend? Do you pull jigs as well while you are pulling cranks? Thanks in advance guys...

Around here ... Bandits in 100, 200, or 300 series seem to work best.

Colors : better have Orange Crush, Awesome Pink, Mad Cow, Black w/blue sparkle, and a few Chartreuse variations ... at the very least.

We pull/push jigs at 0.4 - 0.8mph ... cranks are pulled at 1.5 - 2.0mph --- so, no, they're not usually pulled at the same time.

    We're using 12 - 20ft rods ... linecounter reels spooled with 30lb test braid & a 5ft long mono leader ... leader is tied to a 1 - 4oz trolling sinker.

Other systems & setups work, too ... but, this is the general setup of the guys I know and fish with/against.

    ... cp

I will sometimes pull/push a swimbait while pulling cranks. Some days it works, some days it does not...
