Smithville tonight 5/20

Took the daughter up there again tonight and it was slow again but we did manage about 10 keepers and maybe 15 shorts in a couple of hours and one bass. Slow Slow Slow reeling in about 4 FOW. Only threw 5 in the livewell in case we ran into Jarrod; we didn’t want to get made fun of with 9 inchers so we just kept 10’s. A lady bank fisherman was given our bounty tonight. Look I can catch one….well maybe my daughter let me take a photo with one of hers. I can’t photo shop like Monty! Oh yea and I got caught by a crappie! As I lifted it out of the water getting ready to lip it; the monster spit the hook right into my arm. I left it while I cried like a baby and showed my daughter who almost puked! Sorry no pic?

Thanks for the report! I'm trying to plan a trip up there with my dad, he may not be able to make it up until next week. By the sound of things, it hasn't quite started yet, hopefully next week I'll have him up when it's full on. Thanks!
