Directions hwy 20 to hwy 234 turn north
to road SE16 ave, turn left- will dead end
into ramp. 2 boat drop.

7,520 acres, seimi-stained, 3.5 - 5.5 ft
depth.

Big, big black spec's and bass come from
this impoundment. This will be first
FCC tournament held on lake- and stories
beng told of "as big if not bigger spec's in
here than Crescent" by the locals in
Gainesville. Early estimates, will take
12.5 lbs to win and this could go up as
some of pre-fish reports come in.

Received first offical report in from Newman's from Ocala regular FCC member
who fished Newman past weekend - Put 20 in cooler of "good" size, through back
30 plus regulars 11 inches down.

weighing in at 1 lbs. 12.5 oz.....

Another picture from same Ocala family outing past weekend.
Gentleman picture, Ryan Soscia from Philadelphia on his first ever fishing trip
caught this 15 oz spec. and buttons still popping off. Total of 50 fish caught
(20 kept & 30 thrown back) was accomplished with in 3 1/2 hrs.... not bad for
family fun on pontoon.

Just another reminder: Lake Newman this comming Saturday,
June 14th. Word recd this am from couple pre-fishers
yesterday said they were hitting............caught a couple in
the 1 lb 5 - 6 & 7 range.......... 14 & 15".....
No pictures - only hear-say...................
Entry list hanging around 20 presently with the usual
maybe's of 5 or 6.......................
