Default White Crappie on Lake Hickory

I took my daughter out fishing for a little bit last evening, and we managed to find a few including a white crappie.

Which got me thinking, does anybody know if Lake Hickory has a good population of white crappie, or is anybody catching them? I never hear of them on this lake, so I was surprised to see one turn up

These came out of the mill pond in Granite few year back, and it goes into hickory by way of gunpowder and they drained the pond down back in winter to make some repairs to dam that may be where they came from.

Ah, very interesting. That's a bucket full of fish, there, for sure, lol. I just saw hillbilly's post from today, and there's at least two in his pic.

Mill pond used to be a crappie-ville should take your daughter and check it out sometime, that pic was one days catch and it was normal for us at the pond.
