isn't that just "womans talk" for --- "I'm going to get you some fishing stuff for Christmas, but I don't want you to expect it and spoil the surprise" ..........??? LOL!!! They are sneaky that way, you know!! ...cp

I guess I am fortunate...........my wife loves to crappie fish, MAYBE even more than I! Which is a lot!

She would never complain cause I bought fishing tackle......long as I bought some for her too. (Of course when we go fishin, you could usually put all the tackle we need in a quart ziplock bag.) It's all about simplification to me. :D

Some wives don't understand that you don't use just one rod and reel - I broke it down for my wife like this - when I play golf I got to have a driver, a putter, several wedges, and a set of irons - you can't expect me to play a round of golf with one club - so how do think I can fish all day under different condtions, with different baits with one rod and reel - her response to this is " don't do either and be more helpful around the house - okay I 'll help out more around the house and I will just watch ball games and movies all day and night - I can handle that - she then asked how many rods do you want and do they have them at Concord Mills(BPS location at her favorite shopping location) I now have several long packages under the tree
with my mind on crappie and crappie on my mind -
and if ya'll see Goober later tellem I said duh huh - he'll know what ya mean!!!!!!!!

My wife has no clue about how much fishing stuff she HAS bought me.
Crappie fishing is my lighthouse of sanity in an insane world,
It keeps me from crashing on the rocky shores of everyday life.

    Default Ain't we lucky!!!

Sounds like you guys and your gals and vice verse have your "ducks in a row". I feel for one of my boys. He has one of those snap-finger, non-fishing, bossing type arrangements. Last time we went fishing together, I showed him the MOB button. He didn't get it. hahaha
