Talk to the young feller at Grizzly Jig. Ask him what he uses. That is what I got and I like it. Light, extends, etc.
Looking to buy a new one and cant remember the guys name that was selling them from his shop, that's a member here. Mines taken about all the abuse it could take from netting big crappies and gaspergoo's. The net has torn in the bottom of the bucket and loops broken that holds it to the bucket. The handle doesn't extend all the way out as the bottom section is locked and i cant get it loose. Come to think of it, why in the world do i want to get another one of these? Is there any other extendable handled net out here in crappie-land?

Are you kidding? You wore a net slap out and come in here and complain about it? Lol Whatever. If your serious about considering a different net then you may want to look at the Crappiemaster but its not a one person net in any way but it has a long extendable handle and is strong with a deep net suitable for 2# crappie. Good luck with your search.

Zip ties work well for repair and a Sherlock ext. Painters pole is the ticket found at Lowe's or most any painting store

I sure would like to wear out a dip net. Most of mine dry rot.
I saw some nice ones at Big River Marine a few weeks ago.
