To keep redworms from escaping the top of your bins? Do you use screening material also? I have been having redworms escape from the small cooler on my truck. Any advice is appreciated.

They usually won't crawl out from under the lid unless they are hungry or need water
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

I just cut some newspaper.....about three or four layers and put on top of the bedding and then sprinkle water on the newspaper....if they are thirsty they have a drink....if they are hungry they will feed on the paper.

I forgot about the newspaper trick. I will go back and read again all the tips you have given on raising red worms my friend.

Watch the temperature as well, if they get too hot they will try to find greener pastures.
