Default The bite is still on!

Went out yesterday from 5-7:30 pm after a day of scattered showers and pulled in 4 keepers in 10 minutes. I'd gotten away from vertical jigging with my 10' BnM poles, but decided to keep one out there yesterday and it was the ticket! Had a buddy out learning his kayak so we did more paddling and setup than fishing, but it was a good day! Kept 5 and you gotta love the size of these fillets! Also caught a good sized largemouth on my 10' ultralight. I thought the pole was gonna break in half. Hopefully I'll have more luck the rest of the week after work. They were 6 ft down in 10 ft of water on a brush pile. Caught them with bobby garland white mo'glo tipped with a wax worm.

Looks like the fishing was good for you. That is a nice fillet, good eating Hope you can stay on them and look forward to seeing more reports and pic of your trips.

Nice. Any day in the kayak is a good day. And then add a few nice specks to it and you have a great day. Excellent.
It is not about the equipment you have to use,
It is about how you use the equipment you have. :D

Thanks slabsrus. Enjoyed your video from Mother's Day. I'm gonna give the gulp minnows a shot this weekend. I've been using BGMG's trolling from the kayak with some luck. I've gone as low as 1/32 oz jigs casting, but I'm gonna pick up some 1/64 oz jigs to try this weekend on some bays in KY Lake. Also like the underwater footage you got! I tried to see what my brush pile looks like with my GoPro but the water wasn't clear enough to make anything out.

    Tight Lines!
