It's a lot like Glen this year, not a ton of fish but the one's you will catch will be solid keepers for the most part.
A friend of mine keeps wanting me to pull my boat to Cedar Bluff and crappie fish. I don't know anything about this lake, is it worth a 4 hr trip each way? Any advice, tips, tricks or tactics would be greatly appreciated! I'm not looking for anyone's secret spots but just a general ideal of what to expect?

Not worth it right now. It's over 25' below conservation pool. Pretty depressing.
