you can always use the old stanby, look for structure(wood,rockpiles,sunkin boats, or trees that have been blown down) and dropoffs.

I don't know about your lake, but soon they will be moving deep in the river channel in this lake. Until that they can be found more like spring time depth. In the fall I do look for water 6'-14' around grass until they move deep.
Hope this helps, but you really just need to be open to all type water depth. Any brush piles in water 20'-30' or deeper may still have fish, but they may only be 10'-12' down. Just use you sonar and check out all the structure, creeks in coves etc.
