How Long Before Crappies Visit Planted Stakes????

Hi - I am new to the forumm and love to fish for crappies.

I've pokes some stakes into the bed of the lake to attract crappies - a frend told me this was best becasue they're hard for others to detect with sonar - but i was wondering ... how long is it generally before I can expect to see crappes attracted to the stakes? it is an immediate thing or do you generally have to wait a while?

Lynda, I"ve had fish on stake beds in as little as a few days. However the longer they are in the water the fish become used to them-thus using them more. Hope I've helped some and Welcome to the board from Dale Hollow Lake,Tn.!!

Depends on the depth at which you put the stakes. If they are real shallow it probably won't be till this spring.
