    Default First Time to Reelfoot

Wifey and I arrived at Reelfoot Lake TN yesterday after a long drive. Wow, what a gorgeous lake. We're staying at Blue Bank Resort. Had a great dinner last night. I ate the Cajun Catfish which was good and spicy, just the way I like it.

That's the catfish. Yes I ordered the mushrooms. They were great as well.

And I have no idea why the GPS had us take a ferry to get there. But it was quite an experience.

You're just a little over an hour from us. If we weren't fishing the Crappie Master tournament, we'd be over there for the shindig.

You should eat at boyette's while you are there. People travel from all over to eat there. They used to serve crappie but not anymore. Good place to eat, family style dining. I wish I could help on where to catch them but the last time I was there, it wasn't good.

Slab I'm glad you're enjoying our beautiful lake. Unfortunately I haven't been out in about two weeks, but I know kingkrappie (josh) has been recently. Maybe shoot him a pm and I'm sure he can get you on the fish. Hope you limit out man.

We're looking forward to being there next week for the first time ever. Good luck with the fishing.

Have fun! The last time I was on Reelfoot, the lawn mower engine wudn't crank. The engine was the type that you had to wind the crank rope by hand, NO AUTO REWIND. The boat looked like a dugout log. Also, there was no such thing as a trolling motor or "fish finder".

    PS

There is still no such thing as a fish finder.
