Hope they find out how to kill them.
Estimated to be as many as 500,000. Not sure what has caused it but doesn't look to have affected any other fish. If that's the case, this could be great news.

Semper Fidelis!
I watched the Kentucky Afield fishing call-in show over the weekend and they said that they were sending samples from the carp kill to labs to see if they can find out what killed them. The biologists said there were several states interested in the lab findings. Sure would be neat if they could come up with something to get rid of them!
I thought I have read before that the carp will have die offs every once in a while, I imagine It looks worse and smells worse than it is. I would think if it happend somewhere in the river channel the fish would be spread out but have just been caught in an eddie in that particular location below the dams
"In fishing it is not how big the worm is, its how much it can wiggle"
Hopefully what ever caused it only affects them
I was reading that they believe it may be some type of virus that only affects them? They ar hoping if it is they could introduce it to them elsewhere. I have no way of knowing if this info is true or not but it would be cool if it worked out that way.
