Default 4-22 Tillery sort of report

Off this week for spring break and dangit it's not off to a great start. Went to the beach this weekend and it blew like crazy (really got the itch to go offshore). Came back home and decided to hit Tillery this morning. Charged the trolling motors, pulled up the big motor with the power trim, set everything up last night...

Get on the lake this morning and the cranking motor was dead. Had a couple really nice guys at the ramp try to jump it off but it just wouldn't quite get enough juice.

Almost went home but decided since the trolling motors were fully charged I'd troll a while. Never got out of Swift Island creek since I didn't want to run too far depending on that. Got about a dozen crappie and a few perch in three hours trolling. Had 4 that were 10-12 inches and the rest were throwbacks. Released everything. Probably could have done better but sonar didn't have enough juice to run more than about two minutes at a time.

Frustrating day, the wind is still gonna be blowing at the beach, but it sure beats working.

Gonna try again either tomorrow or Thursday.
